Purchasing TOYS

When you download and install TOYS it will behave as the free edition until you obtain a valid license file. This license file is emailed to you when you purchase a TOYS license. Each time you use it, TOYS checks your license file to determine what features you are entitled to use.

In the interests of usability, TOYS does not use dongles or use activation codes that lock it to an individual workstation.

Details on how to purchase a license for TOYS are given below. For details of the features specific to the various editions of TOYS see TOYS Feature Summary.

Why we use a subscription model?

We have chosen to use a subscription system for TOYS as we believe it to be the most cost effective model for our customers.

When you purchase a license for TOYS it includes the first 12 months technical support and upgrades. After the initial 12 months you may elect to purchase support in the form of "subscriptions".

When you purchase an additional subscripion we email you a new license file. When you have a current subscription you are entitled to:

• Free technical support
• Free upgrades.

At the end of each subscription period (typically 12 months) you may elect to purchase another subscription.

What if I don't re-subscribe?

If you choose not to purchase an additional subscription when your current subscription expires TOYS will continue to work but you will no longer be entitled to software updates. Of course you can always purchase a new license at any time. Without a current subscription we will continue to offer technical support however you will be given a lower priority than our subscribing customers. Furthermore, if the solution is a software update...need we say more?

Can I re-subscribe any time?

Subscriptions run consecutively. If you allow a subscription to lapse for say 7 months and decide you want the latest release of TOYS simply purchase a 12 months subscription and we will send you a license back dated to the expiry of your last subscription. That is, you get the latest software updates with 5 months of subscription remaining.

If more than 2 years has elapsed since your last subscription expired then it is better to contact us and receive an upgrade discount of 50% off the normal purchase price.

The following discounts apply to the initial purchase price, to the annual subscription prices and also to license upgrades.

What does it cost to upgrade to the Professional Edition?

For those of you who purchase the lite edition prior to the public release of the professional edition we will issue you a replacement professional edition license (including 12 months subscription) to replace your current lite edition license for a cost of US $500. This equates to a 20% discount off the cost of the professional edition plus a full discount equal to the price you paid for the lite edition. Your subscription must be current to take advantage of this offer.

If you purchase the lite edition after we publicly release the professional edition an upgrade to the professional edition will cost you US $750. Your subscription must be current to take advantage of this offer.

Ordering and Payment Methods

Licenses for TOYS can be ordered and paid for online at SWREG.

When you purchase a new license online you will be immediately emailed a license file which removes the restrictions of the free edition.

When you purchase a 12 month subscription a new license is not emailed automatically. Your new license is emailed once your details are confirmed. Please allow up to 48 hours for delivery.

If you cannot pay by any of the means listed below then payment can be made by post using a bank cheque in your local currency. Please refer to the section below titled Paying by Local Currency Bank Check.

Please note that the processing of orders paid for by check may be delayed whilst checks clear.

NOTE: We recommend that you do not select Registration Backup Service because you can request a new license file from us at any time. This item is included by SWREG and not by us.

17.5% VAT will be added for European customers when ordering through SWREG.
